David Eldridge Swanner died Wednesday at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. He was born in Lester, Alabama and was 77 years old.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Harvey and Ida Mae Richardson Swanner.

No services have been set at this time.

Survivors include son, David Swanner Jr and wife Lydia of Lester; daughters: Rhonda Owens and husband Rick of Ashland City and Janet Swanner of Pulaski; brothers: Roy Swanner of the Anthony Hill community and Wayne Swanner of Minor Hill; sisters: Sally Haynes of Athens, Alabama and Juanita Lawrence of Minor Hill, TN; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
