John Gordon Cairns died at his home in Ardmore, Saturday, December 18th. He was born in Bangor, Maine. He was 79 years old. He was a college instructor and retired from East Central College in Union, Missouri.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Survivors include his Wife, Jeanne Holford Cairns of Ardmore, Daughters, Andrea Jeanne and husband Duane Foust of Madison, Jill Irene and husband Todd Leitschuh of Indiana, Sons, Leif Edward and wife Yvette Cairns of Louisiana, Matthew John Cairns of Chicago, 9 Grandchildren, 2 great-grandchilden, a host of family and friends survive.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Samaritan's Purse and/or Life Today's "Water for LIFE" outreach program.
Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements for John Gordon Cairns.
