Roxie Josephine Gilley Carvell of Lawrenceburg died Thursday at her home. She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and 86 years old.

Visitation will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. and continue until funeral time at 3 p.m. at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Garfield Carvell of Lawrenceburg; three sons: Kent Carvell and wife Jane Gay of Lawrenceburg, Tracy Carvell and wife Barbara of Portland and Lance Carvell of Lawrenceburg; two daughters: Wanda Maib and Lesa Odom and husband Mike, all of Lawrenceburg; sister, Cora "Kitty" Erwin of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
