James Elbredge “Goober” Pardon died Wednesday at his home in the Bunker Hill community.  He was 94 years old.

Visitation will be held Saturday at Bunker Hill Church of God, 3231 Bunker Hill Road, from 10 o'clock until funeral service time at 2 o'clock. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Giles Memory Gardens.

Survivors include his son, Danny Pardon and wife Carolyn of Elkton; daughters: Jane Thomas and husband Dalton of Pulaski and Jo Ann Griffin and husband Richard of Prospect; brothers: Dean Pardon of Lewisburg and Carl Pardon and wife Doris of Petersburg; sister, Jean Edwards of Pulaski; sisters-in-law: Wilma Pardon of Fayetteville and Marlene Beasley of California; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
