William G. "Bill" Young of Pulaski died today (Aug. 10) at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. He was born in Valley Head, Alabama and was 97 years old.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m., Sunday, at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow visitation Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorial donations are suggested to First United Methodist Church, 200 West Jefferson Street, Pulaski, Tennessee 38478.

Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Moor and husband Edwin of Pulaski, and Patricia McKinlay of Chicago; half-brother, Donald Young and wife Mary of Harrison; half-sister, Judy Heidinger of Kingston; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
