Columbia police are on the lookout tonight for a dangerous teen who escaped for a juvenile detention center.

Walter Robinson, 17, was in juvenile detention on drugs and weapons charges.

Robinson was being housed at the Middle Tennessee Juvenile Detention Center.

Police said the 17-year-old faked an illness, and a female guard drove him to the emergency room at the Maury Regional Medical Center.

According to investigators, while handcuffed and shackled, Robinson got away from the guard and jumped in an open window of a waiting get-a-way car, a black Camaro.

Authorities have this message for the teen…"He needs to turn himself in and face time for the charges he is looking at"

Police said the woman driving the Camaro and anyone else hiding Robinson faces serious felony charges.

If you have any information concerning this escape or the location of Robinson, call Columbia Police. Crimestoppers will pay up to $2500 for information that leads to his capture.
