During a recent work session of the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen $100,000 was granted to the STAAR Theatre.

This money will be used toward the repair of the roof on Antoinette Hall, and repairs on the roof must be done before other renovations on the building can begin.

The total cost on the roof repair is expected to be $160,000 according to information discussed at the city council work session.

The Giles County Economic Development Commission also requested $40,000 from the city and county to go toward marketing the county for new business and a web site upgrade.

The city council will meet in their next work session on Monday at 4:30, and in regular session on June 12 at noon at city hall.
