The Skills USA chapter at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology was recently named among top 24 Skills USA chapters nationally, earning the Model of Excellence.

It’s one of the highest awards given to chapters by Skills USA, which is among the largest student organizations for career and technical education.

According to a press release from TCAT this is a huge honor for the school. Assistant director Mike Whitehead said the school will participate in the national leadership and skills conference on June 25-29 in Louisville, KY.

The TCAT Pulaski chapter will also receive a grant for up to $4,000 from the program sponsor Lowe’s Companies.
