A third generation racer from Pulaski fared well at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this past week.

Ledger Winterburn has some tough luck starting seventh for the A-main at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Youth Series national race.

Practice was cancelled earlier in the week because of the weather so Ledger only had a grand total of 10 green flag laps on a parking lot track for race shakedown and preparation.

When the feature started, he was quickly able to jump from the last starting position to the top 3 before getting tangled up in a few pileups and losing a chain.

On the re-start he worked his way up from last position again to second ready to battle it out for first place in a green, white, checkered finish.

Unfortunately, time ran out and the race was called for time while still under caution giving Ledger a second place finish.
