Lawrence County First responders rescued a man from a grain bin in Ethridge.

Officials said crews were sent to a farm on Henryville Road to rescue a 70-year-old man who owns the farm. The man was found entrapped in the corn near the middle of the bin.

After locating the man, crews deployed a turtle tube to help stabilize and secure him. Corn was then removed from around the man.

First responders said a vacuum truck was then called in to help move corn from the bin so the man could be removed through the bin’s access door. EMS workers assessed the man and eventually released him.

No other information on the incident has been released.
