An Alabama man, Carson Peters was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole this week.
The sentence is the result of an accepted plea deal for the capital murder case.
Carson Peters was indicted in September 2021 on four counts of capital murder and one count of first-degree assault.
The capital murder charges stem from the 2020 fatal shootings of his wife, Teresa Lynn Peters, sister-in-law, Tammy Renee Smith, and Smith’s boyfriend, James Edward Miller. A fourth victim was injured.
