A small plane headed to Nashville crashed in Giles County Thursday.
A pilot and a passenger were on the board the plane and they were not injured, Giles County Sheriff Kyle Helton says.
The sheriff adds the plane was on the way to Nashville from Tuscaloosa when it developed engine trouble.
The pilot landed in a corn field near the Alabama state line, and the plane toppled over.
The two individuals on board the plane are from the Ohio area, the sheriff adds. The crash occurred around 1pm Thursday.
