The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s annual Free Hunting Day is this Saturday (August 26th). 

It’s also the start of squirrel season.

Tennessee Residents can hunt without a hunting license and other standard requirements for the day.

Hunters are reminded to ask permission if hunting on private lands they do not own. Most Wildlife Managed Areas will be open to hunters seeking public access.
