The Giles County Commission will meet August 21st, 2023.

Items on the agenda include, Approval of Minutes of the July 17, 2023, Regular Session of the Giles County Legislative Body, the Annual County Report, EDC Director Philip Reese will address the commission, and the commission will field any Public Comments.

Next on the agenda is electing Notaries Public at Large, Renewing notaries and Electing a one Judicial Commissioner.

The commission will also hear report from the Giles County Finance Director for June, 2023 which includes the Giles County General Fund, Drug, Highway, School, Federal, Food Service, Debt Service, Capital Projects, Highway Capital Projects, Education Capital Projects, Education Capital #2, and Other Capital Projects.

They’ll also hear the Giles County Public Library Report, a Letter acknowledging receipt of a certified copy of the fiscal year 2024 Budget, and the Legislative Committee will address Recommended Rules Changes.

The commission will also hear about EDynamic Learning Career & Elective Courses for July 1st, 2023 through June 30th, 2026 for Bridgeforth, Elkton, Minor Hill, and Richland Middle Schools, Emergent 3 Service Agreement, and Transfer a Renewal Service Order.

The commission will then move on to resolutions and amendments for 2023-45, authorizing the amendment of the 2023-2024 Budget, County General Fund 101, 2023-46, authorizing the amendment of the 2023-2024 Budget, General Purpose School Fund 141, Fund 177, and Fund 178, then any unfinished business and new business.
