Giles County Executive Graham Stowe proposed two ideas regarding the security of the Giles County Courthouse building on Butch Menefee's Morning Show Tuesday, April 11th, which will cost Giles County millions of dollars to invest.

The security of the Courthouse Building is a serious concern going forward and is considered a high priority in the eyes of the County Commission.

The first idea is to equip the Courthouse, built in 1907, with modern-day security features, which will cost the county millions of dollars to undertake.

The other idea is to build a new Judicial Center that could be fitted with the proper security.

"I'm just going to leave that hanging in the air," Stowe said after proposing the two ideas, "because I don't know which one is the right answer."

The commission wants to tackle this problem now before it gets worse and doesn't want to wait for the next administration to make the decision.
