Giles County again leads the way in deer harvested during deer season…

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reports the top five counties for deer harvest during the 2022-2023 season are Giles, Lawrence, Montgomery, Sumner, and Maury County.

In total there were 163,154 deer harvested in the state, Giles County leading with 4,301 followed by Lawrence 3,973, Montgomery 3,861, Sumner 3,568, and Maury 3,550.

Franklin, Henry, Wayne, Fayette, and Hardeman Counties rounded out the top ten with each over 3,000 harvests.
