Tennessee Music Pathway Markers are springing-up all over the State.

Giles County recently had their marker dedication for native son, David Wills, and now Columbia will also be honored with their second marker.

The first marker was dedicated in 2022 recognizing The Mulehouse as a significant Tennessee music venue located along the state's historic music trail.

The new marker will honor Lillie Mae Glover was famously known as "Ma Rainey II” born in Columbia's College Hill district in 1906.

After running away from home at age 13, Glover began performing regularly on Beale Street in Memphis in the late 1920s. She was later inducted into the Hall of Fame of Music & Entertainment in 1981. Glover died in 1985.

The new Tennessee Pathways marker will be located at the intersection of East 8th and Woodland Streets.
