The University of Tennessee announced the passing of Gus Manning on Monday, he was 99 years old.

Manning was the last remaining administrative link with direct ties to Robert Neyland.

He retired in 2000 after nearly 50 years of full-time service at Tennessee. Manning served eight athletic directors and 11 football head coaches during his Tennessee career.

A funeral mass will be conducted Monday, February 20th, at 10am Eastern at The Cathedral of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive, Knoxville.
