A mother is suing the Maury County Board of Education for three million dollars, accusing the system of not looking after her autistic son.

Her son, 17-year-old Josiah Fisher, died after crashing a motorcycle made in class into a wall at Mount Pleasant High School earlier this year.

His Mother claims Josiah died at school after test driving a home-made motorcycle without a helmet or supervision, and adds the records and video she has gathered are alarming.

Maury County Schools and the Maury County Board of Education have not commented on the lawsuit.

Josiah’s mother says her mission is to make sure this does not happen to another student who requires extra resources and attention.
