The nation’s largest Annual National Gingerbread House Competition returned for the 30th year to The Omni Grove Park Inn in Ashville, North Carolina.

Two hundred and nineteen gingerbread house entrants across Adult, Teen, Youth and Child categories were submitted for a chance to win a piece of more than $40,000 in cash and prizes.

When all was said a done the Grand Prize Winner in the Adult category was Ann Bailey of Cary, North Carolina, with a gingerbread hose titled…“When Dreams Have Wings”.

In the Teen category, ages 13 to 17 First Place came home to Tennessee with the Rhinehart Girls of Columbia and their entry “Fairy Tea House”.

Also a very special award was given to the Longest Standing Competitor, Merry Spafford of Loudon, Tennessee, and her entry “Mother Goose on the Loose” Mary has competed 19 consecutive years in the gingerbread competition.
