Lawyers for a former Limestone County teacher and coach arrested for sex with a student say that he and his alleged victim are now husband and wife.

According to court documents, Thomas Blake Tucker, 25, and the student were married on November 6th.

Tucker was arrested September 17th, charged with being a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19. He was released on $30,000 bond. Tucker, a teacher and coach at East Limestone High School, resigned a month later.

Lawyers for Tucker told the court in documents that Tucker has abided by bond restrictions, which limit contact and communication with the victim.

In a motion, Tucker’s lawyers want any bond restrictions limiting contact between the two to be limited.

A hearing is set for December 6th in Limestone County District Court on the motion.
