On the night of October 13, 2021 approximately 8:00, the Minor Hill Police Department attempted a traffic stop on Highway 11 in which the subject refused to stop and fled down McRee Lane. Two males fled from the truck on foot. The passenger, a juvenile, was apprehended a few hours later. The truck was stolen out of Cullman Alabama. In the vehicle deputies found stolen property, guns, and narcotics. The driver of the vehicle is believed to be David Drew Williams of Jones County, Mississippi. DOB 03/17/1975. Williams remains at large and may possibly still be in the area. Williams is wanted in multiple states and across the southeast. This subject has been violent in the past and is likely to be armed.

At approximately 8:00 the following morning, a resident of McRee Lane reported a stolen vehicle, a dark gray 2000 Chevrolet stepside 4x2. Several other vehicles in the area were burglarized. Please contact The Giles County Sheriff’s Department if you see Williams or the truck. The truck pictured is not the actual vehicle that was stolen. The tailgate has repaired damage and there is a Navy sticker located on the rear window. If you happen to see this individual please do not approach, call 911.
