Crews continue to work to repair railroad tracks where a trail derailment happened early Sunday morning in the nearby Alabama town of Tuscumbia.
Colbert County Emergency Management Agency Director Mike Melton said crews with a contractor who specializes in cleaning up derailments have been on the scene since Sunday and worked throughout the night.
He said the derailment was reported at 12:41 a.m. Sunday.
Reports state 38 cars came off the track. The train was coming from Memphis heading to the Sheffield Norfolk Southern switch yard.
Melton said nothing spilled from the tankers and no one was injured.
