A wave of storms produced heavy downpours, winds up to 60-plus miles per hour and intense lightning delaying the fireworks celebration last night in Pulaski. But officials say a good crowd braved the weather to attend

The Independence Day celebration continues today in Lynnville at the Robby Dunnavant Memorial Park beginning at 4 p.m. when a silent auction, concessions and inflatables will be set up.

Live entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m., and headlining will be siinger/songwriter Justin Addis of Murfeesboro. Other singers include Kimberly Wright and Chuck Lewter of Giles County, Logan Blade of Culleoka and Matthew Cole of Lewisburg.

Fireworks are set to begin after dark.

In case of inclement weather, a rain date of July 8th has been set.
