Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett has said no to a request for voter information.

Hargett said he will not comply with the request made by President Donald Trump's voter fraud investigation commission.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, the vice-chairman of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, sent a letter to state election officials Wednesday asking for answers to seven questions and asking that states share the name, address, date of birth, last four digits of their Social Security number, voter history and political party affiliation of all registered voters

Citing state law, Hargett posted his refusal on Twitter Friday.

Trump has repeatedly and without evidence said that "millions" of people voted illegally in the 2016 presidential election, which he won. Hargett's office said there were 42 complaints of various voting violations in 2016.
