Aldermen speaking at Monday's work session of the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen talked of their wish to end a longstanding agreement with Pulaski Electric System concerning a parking lot.
According to media reports, the board appears ready to end a lease for a parking lot on South First Street, located across from Pulaski Electric System’s main office.
A vote is unnecessary to allow the lease that has provided public parking to lapse. The city has shared the cost of leasing the lot with PES.
The cost of the lease at $14,000 per year with a 3 percent annual increase is one of the concerns mentioned during the discussion, according to reports.
No action was taken because the board was not meeting in regular session.
