Cheers for the Girls is a local event aimed to create awareness about breast cancer, and this year's event is planned for 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, at First National Bank's Giles Heritage Theatre.
Keynote speaker is Jayme Hull, a motivational speaker, author and host of the Face To Face Mentoring Podcast on iTunes and iHeart. She has appeared on TV, Radio and numerous special events. Hull's presentation is titled “Moving Forward With A Little Help From Your Friends.” Her mission is to give people the tools they need to intentionally connect with God and others through mentoring. Also speaking will be intervention radiologist Dr. Barry Allen from Southern Tennessee Regional Health System, Pulaski, whose topic will be about breast cancer and the importance of regular mammograms.
Someone will be available to schedule a mammogram screening. Dinner will be provided by The Café at STRHS Pulaski. Survivors of breast cancer will be recognized, and those who have lost the battle to breast cancer will be remembered.
