Giles County friends and neighbors are showing an outpouring of love and sympathy for a Prospect family who lost their son in what is being described as a tragic accident.

Military officials have confirmed that Ethan Shrader, son of Steve and Tammy Shrader of Prospect, is one of the two Fort Jackson soldiers killed when a military vehicle struck them while they were in formation at an Army base in South Carolina.

Fort Jackson officials called the incident Friday a "tragic accident," but didn't say where the wreck happened or the type of vehicle involved.

Tammy Shrader said in a Facebook post that funeral arrangements can't be made until quote "they bring him home." She also thanks all for the well wishes, calls, texts, visits and Facebook posts.

WKSR will have more on this story and funeral arrangements when it becomes available.
