Large household junk items can be placed on the curb next to garbage carts next week only during the semi-annual Amnesty Week in Pulaski.

From Monday, Oct. 2 through Friday, 6, the Pulaski Street and Sanitation Department will pick up items other than normal garbage at residents living within the city limits. Items should be placed on the curb the day of your normal garbage pick-up.

Accepted items are old furniture and old appliances.

Items left at a vacant house will not be picked up nor will hazardous waste, tires, paint, items containing oil, batteries or anything containing refrigerant, such as refrigerators and air conditioners.

Anything other than normal garbage placed on the curb after October 6th will not be picked up by the city.
