All Giles County fourth graders and home school fourth graders are invited to the Giles County Agri-Park to experience Ag in the Classroom later this month.

The grade-school students walk around the different stations set up learning how agriculture touches their lives every day and how important agriculture is to them. As an added bonus, the youngsters get to see and touch animals brought by Giles County High and Richland FFA students to the site.

Ag in the Classroom is set for September 27th, says Heidi Scherer, board secretary of Giles County Farm Bureau Insurance, sponsor of the event. She said usually there are around 350 students who attend Ag in the Classroom each year and volunteers from local groups and businesses help to put on the event each year.
