Monday's meeting of the Giles County Commission includes the yearly appointments of the various committees and boards in the otherwise regular session.

Economic Development Commission Director Bethany Shockney is scheduled to speak before the housekeeping duties begin.

The Commission will renew and approve new notaries public at large, assign committees, election the chairman, co-chairman and recording secretary of the committees, elect a county attorney, medical examiner/coroner and veterans service officer among other work to be done.

Several resolutions will be up for authorizing and any unfinished and new business will be discussed.

The Sept. 18 meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Giles County Courthouse.
