September is National Preparedness Month now is a good time to ask yourself if you are prepared for an emergency. National Preparedness Month is designed to raise awareness and encourage Americans to take steps to prepare for emergencies in homes, schools, organizations, businesses and places of worship.  

This year's theme Is Disasters Don't Plan Ahead. But you can.  Preparing can start with four important steps:  be informed, make a plan, build an emergency supply kit, and get involved.
