The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen opened bids on three different items when it met in regular session.

Bids were opened on security fencing at the airport, on street paving and on a fire truck.

The board voted unanimously to award the street paving bid to Wright Paving at $78.26 per ton and $11,820 per day for milling.

City Administrator Terry Harrison and Pulaski Fire Chief Don Collins were given the go ahead to look over the fire truck bids and bring a recommendation of the lowest and best bid to the full council at its next meeting.

The board also asked Harrison to check and approve bids for the security fencing at the airport, giving him the authority to award the lowest and best bid. The board also passed a resolution to authorize Mayor Pat Ford and Harrison to sign a contract with the approved bidder.

Concerning the 2017-2018 Airport Maintenance Grant, the board approved to again participate with the city being reimbursed half the money is spends for maintenance at the airport.
