Martin Methodist College hosted the State Collaborative on Reforming Education on Tuesday to discuss the future of education in Tennessee as it pertains to the Pulaski Region.
Approximately 30 people from Lincoln, Marshall, Lawrence, Maury and Giles counties attended. The crowd included educators, business professionals, community leaders, school board members and parents.
Also known as SCORE, the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization has a goal of preparing every student in Tennessee who graduates from high school for post-secondary education and the work force.
SCORE was founded by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, MD.
