Local Woman Charged With Criminal Animal Offenses Posted on November 20, 2009
Thirty-five year old Christy Morris of Pulaski has been indicted on three counts of criminal offenses against animals. Fifty-eight year old James Michael Tate of Columbia faces the same charges.
Forty-four year old Kenny Thomason, who owns the farm on 2348 Double Branch Road where the alleged acts are believed to have taken place, was arrested on the same charges, though no information on grand jury action has been released.
Criminal offenses against an animal is a Class E felony punishable by up to a 6-year prison sentence and a fine of up to $3,000.
