A Lawrence County High School teacher has resigned after allegations of misconduct led to her suspension, according to the Authorities with the Lawrence County School System.

Christen Pilkinton was suspended without compensation after the central office received allegations of misconduct.

Pilkinton then resigned from her position.

The allegations of misconduct are currently under investigation, according authorities with the school system.

The following statement was released by the Lawrence County School System…“An allegation of misconduct was reported to the Central Office. The Employee was immediately suspended without compensation. The employee has since resigned. The matter is under investigation by appropriate agencies.”
