About Us

WKSR is a community radio station serving Giles County, Tennessee since 1947.

With staples like Swap-n-Shop, the annual WKSR Community Auction, University of Tennessee Football, Tennessee Titans Football, local news, weather and sports and Giles County High School and Richland High School athletics WKSR has been and remains a trusted source of information and entertainment in Giles County.

WKSR now broadcasts on 98.3 FM and 1420 AM providing up to the minute news, sports and weather, including live severe weather coverage. We can also be heard via online streaming at www.wksr.com and on the mobile app Tune In.

WKSR’s weekday on air talent consists of radio veterans Ed Carter, Don Eastep and Butch Menafee who mix timely information with the today’s top Country Music hits from 5 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.

Another radio veteran, Andy Chunn, brings back the oldies on weeknights from 7 p.m. to midnight and Sunday afternoons.

WKSR’s weekend line up includes GCHS and Richland Football on Friday’s in the fall, UT Football and Titans Football, NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup races, High School basketball and other sporting events throughout the year.

While reaching back to its roots as a community radio station, WKSR AM and FM also uses technology to enhance the listeners’ and community’s experience. A key component of that technology is the newly renovated WKSR.com website that highlights our news, weather, obituaries, sports, online Swap-n-Shop and radio classifieds. The new website design also provides for Country Music industry news, the weekly Country charts.

WKSR’s on air and online products provide advertisers with a variety of ways to get their message out to our loyal listeners in Pulaski, Giles County and surrounding areas.
