An Alabama man was arrested in Tennessee after authorities say an argument in Jackson County, Alabama led to a shooting and robbery Thursday, April 25th.

According to authorities, Jonathan Powell shot a female family member after an argument in Jackson County. After the shooting, pointed a gun at a family member and stole their vehicle.

Powell then drove to Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, where he was arrested on unrelated theft charges the same day as the shooting.

According to authorities, once Powell is brought back to Jackson County, he will be charged with warrants for attempted murder and first-degree robbery.

The woman who authorities say was shot during the argument was taken to the hospital, her condition is unknown at this time.
